The oands package provides a Metafont version of some odd
characters that are used as symbols when transliterating ancient
scripts into a modern alphabet.

The package is part of a series on archaic fonts.

The distribution consists of the following files:
README (this file)
oands.ins
oands.dtx
tryfont.tex
tryfont.ps

The distribution is provided under the terms of the LaTeX
Project Public License (LPPL).

    To install the package:
o run: latex oands.ins, which will generate:
       oands*.mf files
       *.fd files
       oands.sty
o Move the generated files to locations where LaTeX will find them.
For example: the oands*.mf files to .../texmf/fonts/source/public/oands
the *.fd and .sty files to /texmf/tex/latex/local/oands
On a teTeX distribution you might also have to add the following
    lines to texmf/fontname/special.map:
      oandsu10.mf public oands
      oandsi10.mf public oands
On a teTeX distribution remember to run texhash after moving the files.

    To get the documentation:
NOTE: It is useful, but not essential, to have access to the docmfp package.
If this is not available, read the first few lines of oands.dtx
      as to what to do.
o run: latex oands.dtx
o if you want an index, run: makeindex -s gind.ist oands
o run: latex oands.dtx
o Print oands.dvi for a hardcopy of the package manual
o run: latex tryfont for a testpage of the oands font
