The AcroTeX eDucation Bundle

(Read "AcroTeX Education Bundle :-)

Contents:
1) acrotex.zip -- zip file of all system components, excluding documentation:
    a)  acrotex.ins --- installs all bundle components
    b) web.sty -- a package that redefines the page layout to
        more web-friendly dimensions. Also defines a new table of
        contents, navigational aids. Driver options are for dvipsone
        (by Y&Y), dvips, pdftex, dvipdfm and dviwindo. There are
        language options for dutch, french, german, italian, norsk
        and spanish.
    c) exerquiz.dtx -- a package that defines three new environments:
        (1) exercise, for creating online exercises with solutions
        linked to the questions; (2) shortquiz, for creating multiple
        choice quizzes with immediate response, with options to see the
        solution; (3) quiz, longer quizzes that are graded with
        JavaScript, the quizzes can optionally be corrected by
        JavaScript as well.

        The types of questions that can be posed in the quizzes are multiple choice,
        math fill-in, and text fill-in.

        The Exerquiz packages uses the insdljs package, see below, which makes
        exerquiz rather programmable.

        Language options supports dutch, french, german
        italian, norsk, spanish., russian, danish and polish.
    d) The insdljs.dtx -- A package for writing document level JavaScript in the
        LaTeX code for inclusion in the PDF document.
    e) The dljslib.dtx -- A library of JavaScripts that can be ``checked out'' for
        inclusion in your document.
2) webeqman.pdf -- the manual of usage for the AcroTeX Bundle. Screen version.
3) webeqman_p.pdf --- the manual of usage for the AcroTeX Bundle. Print version.
4)  eq_pdfs.zip -- this zip file contains a file eq_pdfs.tex that
    demonstrates that exerquiz works with pdfscreen.

Instructions:
Create a directory in the search path of your LaTeX installation called
acrotex or webeq. Place the files in this folder and latex acrotex.ins.
There are some instructions contained within acrotex.ins you might review
at some point.

Now try LaTeXing the file webeqtst.tex, with the appropriate driver
option set: E.g.,
\usepackage[dvipsone]{web}
\usepackage[dvips]{web}
\usepackage[pdftex]{web}
\usepackage[dvipdfm]{web}

Hopefully everything will work correctly.

The manual of usage, webeqman.pdf, was written using the web and
exerquiz packages; latex insdljs.dtx and dljslib.dtx
for the documentation of those packages. The printable version, webeqman_p.pdf is the
manual re-LaTeXed using the `forpaper' option of the exerquiz
package. All the details are contained in this manual.

I maintain a web site featuring TeX/LaTeX/PDF stuff called
AcroTeX (www.math.uakron.edu/~dpstory/acrotex.html).  There you
will find the home page of the AcroTeX Bundle.
(www.math.uakron.edu/~dpstory/webeq.html).

Now, I simply must get back to work.
